  Today was our first visit to Southern Harmony Cafe and just WOW! This is an amazing family run restaurant with a warm, friendly atmosphere and well worth the trip. The Cajun dishes are delicious and everything is homemade. We had the Cajun Cracker Sampler with gumbo, swamp stew, red beans and rice and Boudin sausage. All simply excellent. Our adorable waitress, Haley, (the owner’s daughter and a delightful young lady) suggested the Debris Fries and boy was she right. The gravy and roast beef on the fries was a meal in itself. I don’t think I have ever tasted such incredible, scrumptious, let me drink it from a quart jar gravy! The homemade pies are so sumptuously rich we could only finish half and luckily we could take the rest home. While eating we heard another table having the Banana pudding stop and say, “Wow!” and just sat there savoring the mouthful. And another table said the biscuits and gravy were to die for. What a wonderful place to visit run by an awesome family we had the pleasure of meeting. Thanks for a great meal!
